Does The Rise of Skywalker explode with sci-fi
action? Well, fans know what to expect by now. This final installment in the most recent
Star Wars trilogy wraps up the epic struggle between the evil First Order and a team of
daring Resistance fighters. “Good people will fight if we lead them.” Violence-wise there are a few surprises in
part nine. “Long have I waited.” The space battles feel more intense, with
bigger chases and crashes, and fierce lightsaber duels. The movie’s darker, too, with creepy villains
and a few explicit deaths, including a beheading, a point-blank execution,
and a body crumbling to bits. That said, the heroes here are still refreshingly
diverse, with strong role models of both sexes. Plus the film delivers great messages about
friendship, teamwork, and making good choices. “The force will be with you.” “Always.” Common Sense says Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
is OK for kids 11 and up. To read our full review and tell us what you

  1. How can a movie be "refreshingly diverse"? The movie is rated PG-13 but it's ok for kids that are 11. I'd like to know more.
